The idea of being better than any person arises when you are actually competing with that person. You say to someone that “I am better than you” when you feel there is some field or arena where you score over that person. But, you ought to remember that the other person can also have several feathers in his cap which might be perhaps those arenas in which you are mediocre. So, the idea of going out to some person and expressing that you are better is completely baseless. “Better than you” should be replaced by the concept of being “better than yourself”. The target should be to become better than what you are currently. Compete with yourself and not with others. Consider yourself as the competition. The challenge is to become better than yourself.
