Shit happens is a common phrase of American slang that is used to describe the imperfections that seem to happen on a regular basis in life. Life is full of perfect imperfections, and a lot of times when something can go wrong in life, it will. We have to live our lives preparing and planning, always hoping for the best, but always prepared for the worst. When we come to a point in our lives in which we realize that shit happens, or that things will happen in our lives that are just completely out of our control, we will be way better off than we ever were before. The phrase shit happens is popular worldwide and was even fictitiously created in the movie “Forrest Gump” when the main character of Forrest Gump played by Tom Hanks stepped in a dog’s bowel and told a passerby this famous line in explanation as to why he wasn’t concerned that he stepped in it.
