Delay means to slow down or make the proceedings late. Delay can also refer to postponing or putting off things. Postponing things is also referred to as “procrastination.” Procrastination is considered as a big hurdle to success. It hinders the progress of any plan, makes one irregular and disorganizes our time management completely. People, who are successful, never put off things for tomorrow and complete them within the allotted time-frame. This keeps their work regular and up-to-date. Ovid had once remarked, “At times, it is folly to hasten; at other times, to delay; the wise do everything at its proper time.” Putting off things never helps.
If you want to be successful, you have to seize every opportunity that comes your way and make things happen. In the words of Simone de Beauvoir, “Change your life today. Do not gamble on the future, act now, without delay.” Achievers never wait for the future to plan their action; they always act in the present. Delay always slows down and even halts progress, at times.
