Discipline is the training given to people to obey rules or follow a code of behaviour. People, who are given such formal training about rules and code of conduct, become disciplined. As such, they have a controlled behaviour and know how to conduct themselves are properly. They are neat, orderly and punctual, having refined and civilized habits. Discipline is mandatory to lead an orderly and successful life. A life without discipline is merely like a ship, without a rudder. Indiscipline causes chaos and disorder in one's life, so one should always stick to the disciplinary code of conduct.
