Dogma implies a set of ethics or laws, which are proclaimed true without any proof. Dogmas are proclaimed by a ruling authority and are incontrovertibly true. The ruling authority upholds dogmas and defying or discarding them implies doing away with them completely and a change in paradigm and structure of the ruling system. In old eras, people used to follow dogmas and the one defying the dogmas was penalized and subject to law.
Dogma serves as the primary basis of an ideology or belief system. The term “dogmatic” is used as synonym for systematic theology. Subjecting people to dogmas and subjecting them to the same is foolhardy because there is no rule for establishing such dogmas. These are just the opinions and thinking of philosophers, rulers and despots which they impose upon their subjects to follow. Following something, which has no proof, does not make sense.
