Expectations are actually the belief that we have regarding the certainty of something occurring or happening. Each one of us faces some sort of expectations from friends and family, apart from ourselves. Expectations drive you to achieve more and work with double sincerity but it can also act as a pressure or burden and make you lose focus, too. Expectations can be a boon or bane for us, depending upon the way we deal with them. In the words of Bob Beauprez, “Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.”
Expectations should act as a catalyst and ignite the passion and desire within you to carve a niche for yourself in your field of interest and achieve something tangible in life. In the words of Wendy Wasserstein, “Don’t live down to expectations. Go out there and do something remarkable.”
