The word “experience” can be interpreted in two most common ways. Experience refers to the knowledge or skill that one acquires or develops over the years. Such kind of experience always comes handy and teaches you something worthwhile. Experience is the best teacher. Experience and wisdom go hand in hand. Both of them are gained, with growing age. The elder lot of people is supposed to have more experience and wisdom that their younger counterparts. In the words of Oliver Wendell Holmes, “A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.”
Some people consider experience as a set of illusions lost rather than any wisdom gained. Experience is any event that affects you in some or the other way and leaves an indelible impression on your mind. In the words of Franklin P. Jones, “Experience enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.”
