The word “glory” has several interpretations. In Christian mythology, glory is said to be the halo surrounding the body of any person or the manifestation of god’s presence. Glorification is a term for the canonization of a saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Glory Be to the Father, is a hymn song in praise of God. In the words of C.S. Lewis, “A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.”
Glory, as a general term means the fame and name that one achieves on accomplishing some remarkable feat. Great achievers and outstanding men and women become immortal, owing to their deeds and achievements and achieve glory. When it comes to acting, John Gielgud had once remarked, “Acting is half shame, half glory. It is shame at exhibiting yourself and glory when you can forget yourself.”
