Integrity refers to consistency of thoughts, actions, principles and methods. Integrity when it comes to moral terms is defined as the honesty, veracity or the righteousness of your actions. Anyone who acts under the following constraints preserves his sense of integrity. The word “integrity” is derived from the Latin word “integer” meaning complete or whole. Integrity pertains to wholeness since it deals with honesty and consistency of character.
Integrity is the sense of completeness or wholeness. In the words of Ayn Rand, “Achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life, and that happiness, not pain or mindless self-indulgence, is the proof of your moral integrity, since it is the proof and the result of your loyalty to the achievement of your values.” Integrity can be preserved by indulging in morally and ethically correct actions and actions. In the words of Denis Waitley, “life lived with integrity - even if it lacks the trappings of fame and fortune is a shining star in whose light others may follow in the years to come.”
