Islam is a monotheistic religion which was articulated by Quran, which is the holy book of the adherents and followers of Islam. The followers of Islam believe in the teachings of Prophet Mohammad. Islam believes that there is only one single and incomparable God and the purpose of existence of all those who follow Islamic religion is to serve God.
Followers of Islamic religion are called Muslims. Muslims or followers of Islamic religion visit the Mosque, as their place of offering worship to Allah. Muslims are basically of two denominations, i.e. Sunni and the Shia groups. The largest Muslim majority is found in Indonesia, with Muslim Minorities in places like South Asia, Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa. The holy book of the Muslims is the Quran and they completely adhere to its teachings. Islam believes in one God and Muslims celebrate their religious festivals such as Eid-Ul-Zuha, Eid-Ul-Fitr with great fervor and enthusiasm.
