Reflection is a common wave phenomenon in physics. It is the phenomenon according to which a ray of light deviates from its path, when it strikes a surface separating two media. In wave propagation theory, reflection takes place when an electromagnetic wave impinges an object having larger dimensions than the wavelength of the propagating wave.
