The phrase “listen to your heart” emphasizes on making decisions with your heart. Decisions made with the heart are very much driven by emotions and passion. Such decisions are rarely pragmatic and rational. When in love or taking decision regarding your personal matters, you should definitely let the head or the mind take a backseat and let your heart be the adjudicator taking all the decisions. The mind takes decisions which are intelligent, rational and not influenced by any kind of emotion. The karma theory advocates that karma can be conquered only by intelligent action and dispassionate thinking. But when it comes to matters of the heart, let the heart be considered wise enough to make decisions. Love and relationships are two such things when you should listen to your heart. All the time you don’t need to act logically, compassion, kindness and emotions are felt by the heart and not by the mind.
