Mother-in-law is the mother of one's spouse. Relationship with a mother-in-law is established post marriage. This is a very unique relationship since it involves adjustment and understanding between two people who have a generation gap and different line of thought. The daughter-in-law/son-in-law, being the younger person involved in this intricate relationship, should go down and adhere to the words and instructions of their mother-in-law to keep peace in the house.
