Mountains are earths un- decaying monuments. Mountains stand as a symbol of strength and safety to a nation. The sight of mountains fascinates man as it clearly gives the message that human are a speck before the mighty nature. Mountains also symbolize sturdiness and the peaks represent the height to which we can climb up in our career or life. Nietzsche once said, “In the mountains, the shortest way is from peak to peak but for that you must have long legs”. As we talk about mountains who can forget the achievement of Edmund Hillary and Tensing Norgay who scaled the world’s top most peak Mount Everest? It is their determination; hard work and courage that made them achieve this feat. As Hillary rightly said,” it is not the mountain that we conquer but ourselves”. It also gives the clear message that we should stand firm in times of trial and as the mountains stand strong without bowing to the howls of the wind, we must be firm in our ideals and thoughts and march ahead.
