An opinion is the view that someone forms in their mind and usually is based off of some sort of fact or evidence. Opinions are something that everyone has about everything. Even when something doesn’t really require much of an opinion we still use our opinions in order to help make choices that will suit us best. For instance a person’s opinions at a vending machine will influence him/her to make a purchase that correlates with the things that they like or desire. There are many types of opinions, including but not limited to, professional opinions, and opinions that no one asks for but that get told anyway. Opinions are something that most people are able to express, and the opinions of a collective group of people can be very powerful. For instance, the opinions that turn into votes during the United States presidential election help sway those in the Electoral Colleges to help pick each president.
