Rules are prescriptions laid down to act as a guide for conduct or action. It is a direction which governs the course of action to be adopted. Rules are authoritative prescriptions to serve as an enactment and generally laid down by a governing body for example, rules governing a school, game or rules of etiquette. Rules should be followed to ensure things remain systematic and proceed in an orderly and organised fashion. Rules should be followed by all and sundry and should be made mandatory for all rather than forcing only a certain section of the society to follow them. Laws and rules are known to grind the poor and rich men often escape following rules and restrictions.
