Something that pertains to romance is said to be romantic. Romantic things, ideas are the ones which involve or concern romance. Hence, they are fanciful and extravagant usually for example, a romantic notion or tale. Entertaining ideas or descriptions which are suited to romance are said to be romantic like a romantic mind, romantic person. In the words of Arthur Symons, “A realist, in Venice, would become a romantic by mere faithfulness to what he saw before him.” Not everyone is romantic at heart. In movies, it takes a lot out of actors to indulge in romantic scenes with their colleague actors. In this context, the Indian actor Sanjay Dutt had remarked, “As an actor, I've grown considerably. It's taken me years to get comfortable doing a romantic scene and dancing on stage in front of a live audience. I've really opened up a lot.”
