Sales can be defined as the act of selling of products or services in return for money or other compensation .Sales can be carried out either directly or indirectly involving person to person contacts. Sales methods involve sales techniques, consultative selling, sales enablement, sales negotiation etc. Sales outsourcing involves direct branded representation where the sales representatives are recruited, hired, and managed. Sales provide employment and careers to a huge mass of the population. These days a lot of companies make diversity a part of the performance goals against which an executive gets paid. Just as you have to make a certain sales number, you have to make a diversity number to get your bonus. In the words of Michael Schudson, “Chances are that neither the client nor the agency will ever know very much about what role the ad has played in sales or profits of the client, either short-term or long-term.”
