Slavery is the state or condition of being a slave. It is the condition when a person is subjected entirely to the wishes, whims and will of some other person. A slave is a person who is under complete subjugation of another person. The holding of slaves is called slavery. In the words of Alexander Herzen, “All religions have based morality on obedience, that is to say, on voluntary slavery. That is why they have always been more pernicious than any political organization. Slavery is a condition when one is completely under the control of another person and has to submit himself totally to that person.
