It is the state of being unhappy. One might be unhappy due to multiple of reasons. When nothing goes your way you feel unhappy, dejected and crestfallen. Adverse situations and conditions cause unhappiness. In the state of unhappiness, it is really difficult to keep your chin up and stay composed. According to Thomas Malthus, “A great emigration necessarily implies unhappiness of some kind or other in the country that is deserted.” Unhappiness comes to the face of some people who just can’t hide their emotions. One should not vent out went out unhappiness in front of others. Unhappiness might trigger frustration, anger and anxiety. Unhappy people can never be at peace with themselves. In the words of Dennis Prager, “Although images of perfection in people's personal lives can cause unhappiness, images of perfect societies - utopian images - can cause monstrous evil. In fact, forcefully changing society to conform to societal images was the greatest cause of evil in the twentieth century.”
