Water is a resource that all of us need for umpteen purposes. Water is indispensible. 70% of our bodies are composed of water. Water is needed by every human to maintain his body composition and to satisfy hi thirst. People who consume at least 8 glasses of water per day stay healthy and hardly suffer from any skin problems. Their skin stays supple and moist. Water is needed for various other purposes. You need water for bathing, washing clothes, washing clothes, irrigation, flowering of plants etc. Water is a rich source of minerals. Water can be obtained from water bodies such as oceans, sea and rivers. Water can also be used to generate electricity through hydroelectric power plants. One must use water rationally and minimize its wastage. According to Maya Angelou, “I believe we are still so innocent. The species are still so innocent that a person who is apt to be murdered believes that the murderer, just before he puts the final wrench on his throat, will have enough compassion to give him one sweet cup of water.”
