Weakness is any major pitfall, shortcoming or drawback that might lead to one’s downfall or degradation. Anything which we fail to overcome eventually becomes a hurdle for us. Such hurdles become a weakness because we just can’t find a way to tackle them. Weaknesses can only be overcome with great dedication and devotion. You need to come over your weakness. Weakness is not equivalent to any disability. Disabilities cannot be overcome but weaknesses can be done away with. Weakness can also be used in a general way for some entity or object that one cannot resist. For example, chocolates are a weakness for so many people who can be made to do anything when tempted with chocolates. Love is also a potential weakness for many people who crave for it like anything. According to Jonathan Swift, “Although men are accused of not knowing their own weakness, yet perhaps few know their own strength. It is in men as in soils, where sometimes there is a vein of gold which the owner knows not of.”
