Wishes are any sort of desires or fantasies that one has. If you want to acquire something in life, you firstly have to wish to attain it. Everyone has a multitude of wishes and desires. But wishes can only be transformed into reality through perseverance and sincere efforts. In the words of Miguel De Cervantes, “Diligence is the mother of good fortune, and idleness, its opposite, never brought a man to the goal of any of his best wishes.” Merely making wishes to possess something won’t do. If wishes were like horses, then beggars would ride them. Fulfillment of our wishes can only happen if we work towards transforming them into a reality. According to Maimonides, “Consequently he who wishes to attain to human perfection, must therefore first study Logic, next the various branches of Mathematics in their proper order, then Physics, and lastly Metaphysics.”
