All of the great historical icons in all parts of the world were at sometime faced with giving up. Michael Jordan could have given up basketball when he was cut from his high school basketball team, and not have brought to fruition the greatest basketball career of any single person. Helen Keller could have given up as she was blind and deaf, but instead she had one of the most successful careers as a writer ever, and her story has inspired people all over the world. Not giving up may be one of the hardest challenges in life to overcome, even when a situation may seem like it is a lost cause.

Taking chances, and being risky are parts of life, that many people tend to avoid. Without overcoming our fears we limit ourselves to a life full of not knowing what we are truly capable of. When we take a deep look at our lives, we realize that where we are now is a make up of the choices we have made in the past, and what we learned from those experiences. Ideas and dreams come to us in a variety of ways, and no certain way that a dream or idea comes to us is typical. The development of a dream or idea has to be backed by usually a goal, which will stipulate to us the ultimate realization of our dreams. It is important when developing these goals not to understate or overstate the steps to achieve these goals, as we want to keep a steady pace without losing too much energy, or exerting too much at one given point that will make it likely for us to terminate the advancement of our dream if we run out of gas, or the essential energy/motivation we need to keep our dreams alive.

In the daily challenge that we refer to as "life" there are many variables of change that increase difficulty, and decrease difficulty. The variables of change that make things more difficult, for example, a car breaking down on the way to an interview, or an unexpected bill making it difficult to feed one's family, should be seen as a challenge, a setback, or an obstacle, just waiting for you to overcome it.
