Since no one is ever promised tomorrow it is imperative that we all realize that life is just way too short to expect for somebody you love to start loving you the same way in which we love them. I say this with a forewarning, because we must all realize that as everyone is unique, many times the ways in which we love one another are completely different from the ways in which your partner may be used to showing their love.

Trying to forget someone we loved is like trying to forget how to walk, trying to forget how to eat, or any other essential function of life. When we truly love someone the love that we felt for that person will be something that dies down over time but never completely goes away. We mustn't try to act like the person that we loved and the love that we shared for that person never existed.

Loving someone isn't about keeping them all to yourself so that the world isn't able to see their light shine bright, but is instead holding them up as a candle to the world to create more light. Seeing someone that you love happy will make one feel a thousand times more fulfilled than them being happy themselves alone.
