If we are never willing to spend any time alone, then we aren't willing to get an accurate representation of who we are on a regular basis. To make it in this life we have to be willing to reflect upon our days and we have to be willing to decide with ourselves what moves we will make next. Sure it is very helpful to have people around who do have your best interests in mind, but if we don't ever really know what we want, there is no possible way to move forward in the life in the direction we want to, if we don't even know what direction we want to move in.

Just as our lives have a beginning, they also have an ending. There are many things that we will experience in our lives that will stay for a long period of time, but the only thing that will last forever is our relationship with the almighty God, everything else will eventually expire, no matter how much we may not want it to.
