I would be no one else but me --- but if I somehow contributed towards that person becoming my ex --- I would work on my faults becoming a better version of me, no one is blameless in any relationship, it takes two to tango and it takes two to makes things work out right. The more mature person is one who is willing to look at what they bring to the table.
