You need to lessen then communication with him such as barely reply his messages or avoid him, also you can reject when he asking you out. Or you can tell him that you already have feeling for someone else.
Tell him the truth but say it with love. Not that you love him, but you are caring enough not to hurt him. So, it's not "what" you tell but "how" you tell him.
You just have to make it show that you do not like him but still want to be friends with him. its going to be hard but you need to do it trust me it better that way!
