Like is more of thought than a feeling. You know that you enjoy enjoy someones company but not a real emotional level. Love, for me is, I know that no matter what our feelings are unconditional. Like and love like water and hot water. Water refreshes your life,cheers you up when you are weary and hot water too does all that and warms you up the most soothing way no lukewarm water is possible of, but beware it also can burn you, burn you and leave a never fading scar. Nonetheless, you heart will still go for a bit of hot water, knowing its comforts, risking it all. After all when handled with proper care some seems to get most of it without any burns but only glowing warmth.
