I am a teen myself. && I would say the apropreate age to have the "talk" with you child is middle school. More kids these days are becoming more sexually active younger && younger. To me I would not say there is actually an age to talk to your kids but around middle school would be best.

Sex is something you continuously teach your children. Teach them only age-appropriate things a little bit at a time as they grow up. Telling stories is a good way to relate sex topics to children appropriately. They remember stories!

This includes pre-school age when they ask "where do babies come from?" This includes 4th grade when something sexually wrong comes on the TV and you have to explain it to them appropriately.

It depends on the child and the teaching method. In most cases, I suggest you start the talks when you notice signs of puberty. Sam, I suggest you get a grip on child rearing and what you would allow them to watch (thousands of sex acts by puberty...Are you kidding Me?

By the time they reach puberty, they have already seem over a thousand sex acts in movies and TV. No good parent keeps their head in the sand.
