I believe meaning and purpose is something we create in our daily frame of mind rather than something to be sought. Waiting for some monumental life purpose to fall in our laps is both a lie and trap. The lie is that we believe the numbness of apathy is better than experiencing the pain of a heart without a purpose. We also believe it's better to be blissfully ignorant of mediocre acceptance than experiencing the painful awareness of unmet potential. The trap is that we submerse ourselves in mind numbing entertainment in order to fill the void and soothe the pain. This only perpetuates more of the same. Meaning isn't something to be found, but experienced, life purpose isn't to be waited for, but created, and when in a rut it's always better to seek enrichment than entertainment.
