I loved yelling at George. I loved telling George off. I loved telling George that he was a 12-year-old. I was so looking forward to that scene almost to the extent that I was concerned that it was going to be a kind of indulgent thing...It's like every ex-boyfriend I have ever had in the form of George Clooney on a boardwalk. It was a lot of fun.

Well, I grew up in Maine, so it was an unlikely place to start. But my parents were really, really cool about supporting what I wanted to do at a really young age. I think I was about 10 when I caught the bug. They would drive me down to New York if there were auditions. When I was 12, I did this show on Broadway called High Society, so we moved to New York for the run of that. I later auditioned for Rocket Science after I did this film called Camp before that.

George gave me such a hard time about shooting Twilight. Whenever I came back, it was like, 'Oh sorry, this isn't the Twilight set. You're not working with Mr. Handsome.' He called Rob 'Mr. Handsome'.

I understand that there is always going to be backlash for something that is really popular. But I think especially because I just play this silly girl, it's not as though people see me in Twilight and can only think of me as a vampire queen or something.

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I was on vacation. But I really like Edinburgh. I went there when I was a teenager. I went during the Fringe festival and I've wanted to go back ever since. It was nice to be in a place where it felt like there was some history. I'm from Maine, and even Maine isn't that old. And certainly California is like the fetus of the world. It was nice to be in a place where it felt like things had really happened here and there was a real sense of history.

I've never been more terrified in my life to do this movie. It was months of knowing and being terrified, but within five minutes of talking to him you realize how easy it's going to be and how easy he's going to make it for you. To not just meeting him and realizing he's another human being like the rest of us, I completely appreciate he goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and to make you feel like you can do your job around him. I think that's a skill he's had to develop because he's been 'George Clooney' for a long time and he probably is aware of how people get around him. And he's a generous enough person and a generous enough actor to go out of his way to make you feel like whatever you have to do on the screen, he's going to make sure that happens.
