If cheating does occur let it go and move on, he or she is not the one for you. (In certain cases if the male or female realizes what they did and is very sorry and feels a lot of shame; it is possible to give a second chance) Just know that the trust will never be the same, no matter how hard you try. This doesn't always mean it won't work - it simply means that you and your partner may run into some roadblocks in the near future.
