Fighter Pilot is a military aviator who receives formal training in how to fight air-to-air and air-to-ground, combat while at the controls of a fighter aircraft. A fighter pilot is trained how to fight both aerial and close-range aerial combats (i.e. dog-fighting). A fighter pilot with a total of five air-to-air kills becomes known as an ace. Fighter pilots need to have extreme fitness levels to handle the extreme demands of modern aerial warfare.
Fighter pilots should have extremely good heart condition; strong abdominal muscles and a flawless eye-sight are some desirable traits for someone to become a great fighter pilot. All fighter pilots are commissioned officers. You have to prove your mettle amongst several other potential candidates. Physical agility along with dedication to work as an aerial combat in air force, are certain pre-requisites for becoming a fighter pilot of repute.
