Habit is something that you do regularly and repeatedly. Habits can be good or bad. Good habits always lead to your progress and make you a better human being while bad habits let you down and degrade you as a person. Early to bed, early to rise is an excellent habit that keeps you fit and fine and in the pink of health. Smoking, drinking, drugs etc. are all bad habits which will ruin you and bring your doom. Habits can’t be given up that easily because old habits die hard.
Hence, it is a must that parents keep a check on their wards and their habits during their growing up phase, so that the bad habits can be addressed and nipped in the bud at an early stage.
Habit is also the name given to a long cloak worn by a nun or monk. Charles Sanders Peirce had once remarked, “A quality is something capable of being completely embodied. A law never can be embodied in its character as a law except by determining a habit. A quality is how something may or might have been. A law is how an endless future must continue to be.”
