Humor is the ability or tendency of a person or object to generate or evoke laughter. Humor is the ability to provide amusement so as to keep people in your vicinity happy and upbeat. According to the Greeks, the balance of human fluids in the body is called humors and it controls human health and emotions. People of all ages; be it kids, adults or the older generation can all experience and feel amused enough to laugh at certain things. Thus people of all ages have a sense of humor. Some may have a good sense of humor than others if they can evoke laughter and amuse others in their vicinity more often. The extent to which something will be found humorous by someone depends on several factors like geographic location, culture, maturity and level of understanding of the audience. For example, children can understand slapstick comedy but satire which basically requires in-depth understanding of the target of humor, will appeal only to mature audiences. In the words of Henry Ward Beecher, “A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.”
