Immortality refers to living till eternity, in either physical or spiritual form. Immortality refers to absence of mortality. When someone or something cannot be subjected to death, the person or thing becomes immortal. Immortality has been something that has always fascinated mankind. Immortality in the physical form is never deemed as achievable. Natural selection developed biological immortality in at least one species. Albert Einstein had once remarked, “I do not believe in immortality of the individual, and I consider ethics to be an exclusively human concern with no superhuman authority behind it.”
Men become immortal if they leave an indelible impression on our minds, owing to the good deeds that they do, during their lifetime. Albert J. Nock had once remarked, “Perhaps one reason for the falling-off of belief in a continuance of conscious existence is to be found in the quality of life that most of us lead. There is not much in it with which, in any kind of reason, one can associate the idea of immortality.”
