John McCain was born on August 29, 1936. He is the Senior United States Senator from Arizona. He was nominee from the Republican Party for the Presidential Election in 2008. He graduated from U.S. naval Academy in 1958. He became a naval aviator and nearly lost his life once during the 1967 US Forrestal Fire.
He retired from navy as a captain in 1981 and moved to Arizona, when he took up politics and his life changed for the better. He contested the elections for the post of the US president in 2000 but lost to Bush and in 2008, he lost to the eventual president, Barack Obama. John McCain had once remarked, “And the people who live in the southern part of my state do not have a secure environment. To wit, there are signs that the government put up that say, ‘Warning. You are in a drug smuggling area and a human smuggling area.”
