Native Americans are those who lived in the land of America before the whites invaded them. They are courageous peace loving natives who were overpowered by the invaders. But now, they are the suppressed lot and are pushed into oblivion. ‘When a white army battles Indians and wins, it is called a great victory but if they lose, it is called a massacre”. Native Americans have long fought for their freedom, their right and share but were denied. An Indian proverb says, “Treat the earth well, it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children”. Native Americans demand that they be involved equally in all the activities “Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I may not remember. Involve me and I will understand” goes one proverb. It is only fair that all humans should be given equal rights because the planet Earth is one and belongs to one big race of humanity.
