Regret is a negative conscious and emotional reaction that one feels over some past personal acts and behaviours. Regret is accompanied with the feeling of annoyance, embarrassment or guilt. Regret is something that is entirely different from the feeling of guilt. One feels guilty after committing something wrong, while regret can be felt when we repent over something that could have been done, witnessed or experienced.
Live life to the fullest and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way, so that you don’t have regrets regarding anything in life. In life, it is better to prepare and prevent first rather than repair and repent later. Oliver Goldsmith had once remarked, “A great source of calamity lies in regret and anticipation; therefore, a person is wise who thinks of the present alone, regardless of the past or future.”
