Theory is derived from the word “theoria” and means viewing, beholding or seeing. It refers to the act of speculation or contemplation and is against action. There is a lot of difference between practical and theory. Theory and practical are the two aspects of learning any discipline. For example, when it comes to learning medicine, theory teaches us the causes and effects of health and sickness while the practical aspect of learning medicine aims at maintaining people’s health. In scientific terms, theory is often used to describe any empirical phenomenon or give a scientific explanation for the same. Theory is described in a way such that the scientists are able to understand them and even verify them. In the words of Albert Einstein, “There could be no fairer destiny for any physical theory than that it should point the way to a more comprehensive theory in which it lives on as a limiting case.”
