Living our lives on a day to day basis, and pursuing our dreams as our heart guides us to, requires us to not care about whether or not people approve of what exactly we are doing. Yet sometimes it is hard to live life without thinking about what those closest to us feel about what we are doing. It is important to tell our loved ones “don’t judge me.” It is hard enough to live and go after our goals and aspirations while being judged by the rest of the world, and even harder when we are judged by our peers. In order to be able to tell others don’t judge me, you have to set the example, and not be judgmental to others. As Jesus said it “let he who has no sin, cast the first stone.” The only entity who has the right to judge anyone is God himself.
