The words hold you down in a literal sense mean to hold someone down, in most cases so that they are not able to move in order to produce the best situation possible. In a figurative sense the words “hold you down” are used to say that a person will help take care of someone that they love. When someone is able to “hold you down” they are able to step up to the plate when they need to, they are able to be a shoulder to cry on, and someone that you can always rely on, with no questions asked, and no hassles. Finding someone to hold you down is hard to find, but if found, make sure that you keep this someone around, and be sure to hold them down, just as sure as they would hold you down. Show that you care, and show that you love them just as much as they do the same for you.
