Quotes about Remorse
Saturday, May 25
Remorse is the feeling of intense regret that one experiences when one realizes that one has committed some seriously shameful, hurtful, violent act. So, remorse is closely related with the feeling of guilt. You experience self-hatred because of any objectionable and ethically immoral act that you committed. Remorse is generally experienced by everyone but still there is a category of human beings who do not feel any kind of remorse. Such kind of people who are incapable of feeling such personal guilt or remorse are called sociopaths or psychopath. This is possibly deemed as a DSM-III condition. Remorse is the pain that sinners experience. People, who don’t fear anything and don’t feel guilty for any offence, can never experience remorse. In the words of Ambrose Bierce, “Childhood: the period of human life intermediate between the idiocy of infancy and the folly of youth - two removes from the sin of manhood and three from the remorse of age.”
