Thirty years after drafting the US Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson warned of the dangers posed by the corporation, writing of the need to crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country. Today, instead, the aristocracy of the corporation has grown to full maturity, wielding power over the state and its laws in the service of corporate aims.

I love comedy and I would write things to myself as an exercise in writing. I didn't do well for years, and I quit. I started to break down why I was afraid and started to look at people I admired, like Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Freddie Prinze, George Carlin and all. I said, To get to where they are, they all have had to endure bad nights and it's not easy. If the worst thing that can happen is that nobody laughs, then I can deal with that, because the worst thing that can happen at the factory is that I could lose a limb or be crushed by a huge machine.

And they were writing scripts where Christine had hit the glass ceiling. And I always thought Christine would never hit the glass ceiling. I thought her dreams would take her. Maybe her dreams wouldn't take her where she wanted, but she still had her dreams.

Writing quotes
There is much pain that is quite noiseless; and vibrations that make human agonies are often a mere whisper in the roar of hurrying existence. There are glances of hatred that stab and raise no cry of murder; robberies that leave man or woman for ever beggared of peace and joy, yet kept secret by the sufferer committed to no sound except that of low moans in the night, seen in no writing except that made on the face by the slow months of suppressed anguish and early morning tears. Many an inherited sorrow that has marred a life has been breathed into no human ear.

Writing quotes
When a child is learning to write, it is extremely easy for it to hold the pen wrongly, and to form its letters incorrectly, but it is painfully difficult to hold the pen and to write properly; and this because of the child's ignorance of the art of writing, which can only be dispelled by persistent effort and practice, until at last, it becomes natural and easy to hold the pen properly, and to write correctly, and difficult, as well as altogether unnecessary, to do the wrong thing. It is the same in the vital things of mind and life.

I open up a big cabinet, and I have a collection of helmits. I put on the different helmets, and I take tree bottles of Robitussin and drink them really quickly. Then I set my hands on fire-I have to write whatever comes to mind pretty fast, before my hand burnsoff." "I just let whatever comes out, comes out without thinking about it to much. Some of it I keep, some I toss out, some of it I turn into giant cigarettes and somke 'em. I think everybodu should just turn off their TV machines and make up their own songs about whatever comes to mind-their couch, their friends their loaves of bread. Everybody's got their own songs. There should be so many songs out there that it all turns into one big sound and we can put the whole thing into a pickup truck and let it roll off the edge of the Grand Canyon.

Song Writing quotes
They say theres a fine line between genius and insanity. If a man thinks he can write, does that make him genius or insane for trying. I ask myself, are we born with talent, or is talent created in us? I guess not all of us are naturally gifted or talented. I assume that gifts or talents would have to be built with practice, dedication and commitment. They say put your heart into it but what about your soul? Is compassion or lust for grammar and written word a sin? I dont know. Does it make me mad with insanity? Sometimes. The pen is an instrument of the mind; only through it will my thoughts find relief. So they say theres a fine line between genius and insanity. Which one am I, at this time I dont really know; which one am I?

I hope you accept this invitation from my heart. The last thing I want is for us to be apart. I know its my fault for the harm thats been done. Im asking for the chance to prove I am the one. I cant take it back, that I do know. That wasnt who I am I will prove it and show. I can say I was scared but it wasnt of you. I was scared of my past and should have knew. Instead I hid my fear deep inside. While you left your heart open wide. I should have known there was no need to be scared. My life was with the perfect person for it to be shared. You have my heart and I dont want it back. You are the one who got me back on track. If the time comes and you can find it in your heart. I will be ready for a new start. Im writing you this poem from my heart to yours. I just want you to know that I'm all yours

Getting Back Together quotes
Many people, young and old, male and female, whites and blacks think only about being rich, comfortable and to spend luxuriously. Well, base on the knowledge I recently acquired about luxury; it is something that is an indulgence rather than a necessity. And talking about indulgence; it is simply a way of gratifying desires. For me, it is a foolish and in fact a senseless behavior.Instead of focusing only on comfort and luxury we should rather get something doing. Something that will fire us up, makes us happy and at the same time excited. Anything can indeed draw or make us happy. For example, some people found delights in reading, acting, dancing, singing and much more. As for me, my delights are simply in writing, acting and reading whatever I found my hands on. peeps, looking at all these closely and with a great knowledge, you will come to understand that these so called comfort and luxury arent the chief requirements of life. It is instead, living an enthusiastic life.

I've noticed a facinating phenomenon in my thiry years of teaching: schools and schooling are increasingly irrelvant to the great enterprises of the planet. No one believes anymore that scientists are trained in science classes or politicians in civics classes or poets in English classes. The truth is that schools don't really teach anyting except how to obey orders. This is a great mystery to me because thousands of humane, caring people work in schools as teachers and aides and administrators, but the abstract logic of the instituion overwhelms their individual contributions. Although teachers to care and do work very, very hard, the institution is psychopathic, it has no conscience. It rings a bell and the young man in the middle of writing a poem must close his notebook and move to a different cell where he must memorize that humans and monkeys derive from a common ancestor.

The point is that descriptive writing is very rarely entirely accurate and during the reign of Olaf Quimby II as Patrician of Ankh-Morpork some legislation was passed in a determined attempt to put a stop to this sort of thing and introduce some honesty to reporting. Thus, if a legend told of a notable hero that all men spoke of his prowess any bard who valued his life would hastily add except for a couple of people in his home village who thought he was a loony, and quite a lot of other people who had never really heard of him. Poetic simile was strictly limited to statements like: His mighty steed was fast as the wind, on a fairly calm day, say about Force Three, any loose talk about a beloved having a face that could launch a thousand ships would have to be backed by evidence that the object of desire did indeed own a very large seaport. Patrician Olaf II was eventually killed during an experiment conducted in the palace grounds to prove the disputed accuracy of the proverb The Pen

There is an enormous redundancy in every well-written book. With a well-written book I only read the right-hand page and allow my mind to work on the left-hand page. The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. WredeBook I. Dealing with DragonsBook II. Searching for DragonsBook III. Calling on DragonsBook IV. Talking to DragonsCimorene is not your oanidrry princess. She hates embroidery, etiquette and dancing lessons. She'd rather learn magic and how to run a kingdom. Rather than being forced to marry a vapid prince, Cimorene runs away to work for a dragon.Lots of dragons have princesses sometimes kings and queens arrange for a dragon to kidnap their daughter so that a brave prince will rescue and marry her. Cimorene isn't into that, she works for the dragon Kazul and when princes try to rescue her she sends them away. Quickly Cimorene becomes indispensable to the dragons, thwarting an evil plot by wizards along with a fantastic cast of characters: Morwen, a not-your-oanidrry-witch; a prince turned to stone; Alienora, a less-silly-than-usual-princess, not to mention a host of dragons. In the later books, Cimorene assists the now-King Kazul ( King is the title of the job whether held by a male or female dragon), collaborates with the newly throned King Mendanbar of the Enchanted Forest, a fire-wizard, a giant rabbit named Killer enchanted as a floating, winged, blue donkey, in a never-ending battle with the wizards. In the last book, Cimorene's son Daystar, not realizing his heritage, enters a quest to rescue King Mendanbar from a spell. These books are among my life-long favorites. While listed as Young Adult, younger readers will also find much to enjoy in the witty writing, exciting plots, and strong, unorthodox characters.
