Friendship Is When People Know All About You But Like You Anyway

A true friend knows exactly who you are, and loves you anyway, because true friendship is about wanting happiness for a person, maybe sometimes more than they may want it themselves.

People examine the dynamics of what true friendship an awful lot, and most find that though everyone wants a true friend, not everybody has too many people in their lives that they can call a true friend. Friends are people we can rely on through times that are good and bad to be there no matter what.

Not everyone will be right at all times, but a true friend will be there to tell us when we are wrong, not condemn us, and love us anyway. There are no excuses, and no half friends. Those who are only there for you when things are acceptable in their eyes are acquaintances not true friends, so be weary! A true friend wants nothing more than to see you grow, and wants to grow with you, not just when what you believe or who you are is convenient for them.

Never forget how much you really mean. If someone doesn't treat or value your friendship and takes your love for granted, then it may be time to either communicate the way you feel so that a change may be made, or it may be time to give them much less of yourself.

Sometimes in life we have to decipher the time to be a true friend or the time to be a true lover, and realize when the time is to let go of someone who is in our lives. It has been said to believe who someone is the first time that they show you who they are, and to never hold on to someone who doesn't want to be held on to. A great friend is a friend that will be there for you when you need for them to be. Before you can really know what a true friend should be to you, you have to be willing to learn about yourself. What standards do you have for your own life, what is acceptable in your eyes, and what do you expect that others do in relation to certain situations that may pertain to you. You also have to realize that not everyone will believe in the same guidelines for their lives that you may, and at some point in your life, you will have to compromise to make sure that you may maintain a relationship.
