Good Relationships Don't Just Happen

One stigma that many of us have to learn to overcome when we deal with the relationships in our lives is that good relationships don't just happen. Good relationships take a lot of time and effort, and an unconditional love that can't be tainted or distracted by any outside forces.

Good relationships seem to be portrayed by society as they are a dime a dozen, but in actuality are very hard to find because most people dont realize the effort that is required on a daily basis for each relationship. Good relationships require sympathy, understanding, trust, courage, love, support, and an unwillingness to ever give up no matter what. To make a relationship great sometimes a person has to be willing to compromise even when they feel as though they are correct with everything inside of them. Also both parties have to be concerned with each others goals on a regular basis to ensure that they are both moving in the same direction. Good relationships are full of hard work, but are very rewarding when both parties actively pursue the relationship.

As we grow and mature in life, we come to realize that there is a point in our lives that we have to be willing to simply let some people go. Not everyone is in your life for your benefit. Sometimes people only seek to control you, and will use any type of manipulation in an effort to do so. Some will try and judge you and condemn you, some will try to make you feel as if you are no good without their help, and some are only in to reap some sort of benefit from your life when you do start to accomplish great things.

Everyone is different, and though sometimes people are able to make it through extended periods of time without seeing each other, doesn't mean that all couples will last. When both parties in a relationship remain committed to long distance relationships equally with fire, the relationships usually tend to last, at least much longer than most long distance relationships seem to.

As people, we are emotional sometimes. Sometimes all we want is for that one person to give us approval for the feelings we are feeling inside, whether right or wrong, good or bad. Knowing this is generally true about ourselves, we must be willing to give careful consideration to the words people spew to us, especially when they are spewing out pieces of their hearts.

As the quote says it feels good to be loved and for someone to show you how much that you mean to them on a regular basis. When you are special to someone you should feel that you are special to him or her. We should all be treated as the kings and queens that we are by those that we love. When somebody that we love is willing to show us how much they love us by even just doing the simple things such as drawing our baths, or giving us flowers, or taking us out to eat, we feel like we are appreciated.
