When it comes to keeping a good friend around, we have to be willing to accept that not every friend that we encounter is a good one. There will always be situations that arise in life, and especially in our relationships that will help to show us who our real friends are, and who our real friends are not.

When someone shows you who they really are, be sure to believe them the first time. If you put this principle into place, for the most part you will save yourself a lot of heartache and pain.

At the end of the day, remember that real friends do not influence you to do things that are not a part of your character and that will cause nothing but destruction and turmoil in your life. Real friends will help build you, and will only try to influence you to do what is best for you.
