Learning To Love Yourself

Trying to be someone you are not is like trying to live as water when you are fire. Everyone has and pretty much knows who they are from a very young age. As we grow up we are usually more fine tuned and educated, but at our core we are still the same person. It is imperative that we let our little light shine on the inside.

In order to act as ourselves we must be the only ones to tell ourselves who we really are. Sure there are people out there in our lives that want us to act in certain ways and do certain things but we must act in a manner that is true to the person we have living in our conscience. With that being said, after we live as ourselves we must not let what other people think about how we are living distract us from being us. Just because someone doesn't agree with what you are doing doesn't mean it’s wrong. The only way to live wrong is to not live and be true to the person you are on the inside.

There is no beauty like the beauty that comes from inside of you. Because of society and because of huge influences of things like advertising (which many studies say is more influential than the things in America that we learn in school by the time we are older) and other forms of media, many of us feel as though what really makes us beautiful by radiating inside of us, isn't what true beauty really is, when in fact the only real and lasting beauty is the beauty that comes from within.

Be careful of those who are only with you because of what they see on the outside. Sometimes people get caught up in the fact of someone looking good and smelling good, while those who know better know that there is much more to a person than what meets the eye. Take time to get to really know who someone is before you start telling yourself that you are really interested in them, or that you really care about them.

Too many times in our lives we get too concerned with the things that we don't have to appreciate the things in life that we do have that make life the most beautiful. Think of all of the beauty that is still left around you and be happy.

Sure, we all have our similarities, but there is no way that two people can say that they are exactly identical.

Too many times in life many of us get caught up in showing love, and being kind to others, that we sometimes forget to show love and to be kind to our own selves. One thing that would help us all greatly is believing in ourselves. Not only are we beautiful individualized creatures of God, we are all so unique from one another, we all have different values and qualities that we emphasize more than others that make us exactly who we are.
