If anyone wants to do great work at some point in their lifetime, they must do so knowing that there will be some criticism. Criticism should never be able break you, and if it does, you are probably listening to the wrong critiques. In hearing criticism we have to be able to think about it and take it all in objectively.
Sometimes the things people are saying about what we are doing, are right. You can either be willing to change these things now or act as if nothing is wrong and make your situation worse.
Sometimes the things people will say about you and your life will be completely wrong, misguided and maybe even hateful. Knowing that some people are hateful won't always take away from the sting of the hateful critiques, but these are opportunities in which we can make an effort to develop the thick skin we will need throughout our whole lives.
Stay committed to what you do, always be willing to learn, but never let anything or anybody stop you from doing what you truly love.
